  My Husband and I have now been here every Friday night for at least 10-12 weeks in a row and although we do not normally do reviews on places we have eaten we felt the need to write this one . What started out with bringing my elderly mother-in-law to a restaurant that was fully accessible for dinner has evolved into our Friday night "date night" go to place. Each week we try a different menu item or the Friday special if it suits our taste buds. We have never been disappointed with what ever we ordered. Portions sizes have exceeded our expectations and pricing is more than fair. We still have many menu items to sample but highly recommend Ye Olde Squire to all our family and friends. Cheers to all the staff that make our weekly visit so memorable.

  I go there quite often. LOVE IT!
  Never been disappointed in the food OR service whether sitting at the bar for an hour or a table for a couple.
  Highly recommend - 4.5 stars for sure.

  French onion soup comes with a huge pastry top and not cheese.
  I can't eat the pastry, I would have just eaten the soup with the cheese but there was none in mine, so not paying 12 $ for a half cup of broth and onions.
  I told the server I can't eat the bread, I don't know if it said it on the menu but the point is there is no cheese so not worth the price to leave hungry. The food took so long I didn't have time to order anything else. We had to leave.
  The server said the manager doesn't take things off the bill for 'allergies' so she would have to go work to get me a refund for the disappointing soup.
  I never saw the manager in the restaurant. They never came to our table at all.

  Everything about lunch here was bad except the food. Honestly looked like every server would rather die then be working and in total waited at least an hour just for someone to help us. Food actually pretty good but couldn't drink my drink cause it smelt like dirty laundry. Couldn't even ask for a new one cause like I said customers were avoided like the plague. Haven't been here in probably 3 years and nothing has changed. I feel awful having to write this but hopefully the owners can step up their staff or dishwasher..
